Since those folks from the Skyward Fortress started selling fuel like crazy, it’s becoming more and more common to see vehicles around. We already told you that the Black Blood Children were fuckin’ angry as mad chimps… more than usual, I mean, and they were chasing down and capturing all these people using gas. The thing is, those attacks have vanished almost completely, maybe because they are just running short on fanatics or changing their aproach. Let’s see how things progress in these interesting times.
Although most of us won’t be able to get event close, it seems that next month the 3rd Auction of Artifacts from the World of Before or Something Cool from the Current World will be held on the Gross Way. This unique and, of course, ridiculously expensive event will attract the wealthy, collectors, and traders from the entire Scrapbridge area, eager to put their claws on forgotten treasures from the pre-apocalypse era. So, maybe we’re lucky, and they’ll spend some bullets in the settlement, which would be good for us. It seems that the freatured item of the auction will be a toilet that sprays water on your black hole when you finish your business. Well, considering the quality of water around here, I almost prefer it not to touch my rear entrance
You know there has been petit talk for a while about suspicious movements of the V Reich towards the Merkadome area… well, the cat’s out of the pan! It seems that for quite some time, without anyone noticing, the Reich has been building a new settlement rivalling that of Fort Germania itself. They’ve called the place Fort Thule, and it’s not finished yet. It’s still rising, and it will probably take another year to be fully operatibe. Not all the walls and barricades that should surround the compound when completed have been built, and the interior looks more like a provisional camp, full of tents, than a proper fort. The thing is, this could change the power balance in the area a bit, and we’re not sure if Merkadome will take any action against ‘em.

NEWS OF THE MONTH

It seems that in various crappy settlements located between Nowater and the Permaban Pass, a group of mutants dressed in ridiculous outfits with flashy colors, underwear over their pants, capes, and/or masks have taken it upon themselves to “try” to help those in need. It’s worth emfa… pempa… emphazising (woow, that one was HARD) the quotation marks from earlier because, in general, they’ve been beaten up, tripped over their own capes, and similar mishaps.
Nevertheless, they have had the decency to send a statement to this Gazette to introduce themselves, which we’ll copy here to save ourselves the trouble of thinkin’ what else to write:
“We are the M Force, emerging as a light in the night, as a response to the desperate cries of anguish from the innocents of the Wasteland, as a scourge of injustice and wrongdoing. Wherever evildoers take advantage of good people, where crime emerges like a disease, or where the underprivileged suffer, we will appear to set things right and be the cockrat in the soup of evil.”
So, that’s how things stand. It seems these guys have soaked up stories of the old superheroes from the World of Before and decided to copycat them. Personally, I give them a couple of months. It’s not just that they’re highly incompetent, but they’re also mutards on top of that. The occasions they have managed to defeat a criminal, it’s been the “victim” who has beaten them up. But well, I suppose that’s better than joining Kim and her efforts to erradicate humans. Although maybe they were better off just getting high at the park.
