Unami

UNAMI Every civilisation has its rebellious children, and the megalopolis of Liberty City was no exception. Although in general the inhabitants of that place lived very comfortably in their city surrounded by all kinds of luxuries and with no desire to set foot in the unpleasant wasteland, over the years some young inhabitants began to criticise that false life and advocated a return to nature. They were still just an annoying group of tree-hugging vegan hippies to be ignored and laughed

Troupe

TROUPE West of Puentechatarra, near the abandoned Luckyland amusement park, stands one of the most dangerous places in the entire area. Large circular tents, decorated with faded, garishly coloured stripes, covera plain littered with the remains of a large funfair: wrecked food trucks, collapsed fairground stalls, rides turned into piles of scrap metal, and so on. The main tents, however, are in fairly good condition and continue to stand against all odds. What this circus was called in its heyday

Irradiated

IRRADIATED South of Merkadome, beyond the Cemetery of Metal Giants, the radiation is so powerful that not even Mutards can survive there for long. It is an inhospitable area where nothing can survive… except for the Irradiated. The Irradiated (who refer to themselves as the True Heirs) are one of the strangest, most isolated and least numerous factions in the Wasteland. Their origins date back to the days when ancient nations fought each other, using increasingly destructive weapons. In this

Amok

AMOK Liberty City, the most advanced, powerful and feared megalopolis. Liberty City, the fallen paradise. Liberty City, the cradle of the Idos. Liberty City marked the beginning of the construction of megacities. Compared to other cities of gargantuan size, its walls only surrounded the old city of New York and a small part of its surrounding area. However, its dimensions should not be misleading. It was the city that began its existence with a more advanced level of technology, quickly

V Reich

V REICH It is not known for certain who founded the V Reich that operates in the area around Puentechatarra, but it was undoubtedly someone who stumbled across a vein of 20th century history books and got his neuron whirring with all the National Socialist paraphernalia of European fascism in the 1930s and 1940s. In a departure from the more anarcho-punk attitude and looks of ordinary gang members, this person founded a highly militarised, organised and hierarchical organisation, amassing a

Black Blood Children

BLACK BLOOD CHILDREN The most famous cult in the Scrapbridge area is that of the Black Blood, a congregation that maintains a well-maintained oil well in a heavily armoured settlement. They revere oil as an almost mystical force that provides Tex’co, a kind of deity. They do not trade in any way with whatever they extract from underground, as only cult members are worthy to use their blessings. While they sometimes tried to spread their word in the settlements, in

Junkers

JUNKERS Finding tools, weapons, vehicles, or almost anything else in the Wasteland is difficult and dangerous. However, scrap collectors, also known as scavengers, do just that: they search through the ruins of cities and the debris of megalopolises to find things they can sell or trade in some settlement. They are experts at repairing and fixing machines, albeit not very elegantly, often creating complex devices to solve simple tasks rather than the other way around. They are possibly the faction

Mutards

MUTARDS No one knows exactly when the first mutants began to emerge, but even before people were driven out of the Megalopolis and into the Wasteland there were rumours of people with strange powers. The causes of their appearance may be various, perhaps all the chemicals and radiation that were in the environment in the poor areas of those times had a lot to do with it, maybe it was genetic research experiments or simply natural selection. The point is

Gangers

GANGERS Life in the Páramo is tough, and if you don’t want to or can’t stay in a settlement, it’s normal to form groups. Gang members are possibly the faction you are most likely to encounter in this area of the Páramo, ranging from bands of looters to vigilantes. There are groups who raid settlements and raid travellers for bullets and petrol, some who act as mercenaries, running errands for chieftains or simply guarding the outskirts of a settlement, and
