UNAMI

Every civilisation has its rebellious children, and the megalopolis of Liberty City was no exception. Although in general the inhabitants of that place lived very comfortably in their city surrounded by all kinds of luxuries and with no desire to set foot in the unpleasant wasteland, over the years some young inhabitants began to criticise that false life and advocated a return to nature.
They were still just an annoying group of tree-hugging vegan hippies to be ignored and laughed at a little, until, as often happens in these cases, someone lost their mind. They were nothing more than an annoying group of tree-hugging vegan hippies to be ignored and laughed at, until, as often happens in these cases, one of them went too far and killed a few people in the name of their cause.

Obviously, he was executed, but the rest of the ragged bunch were given the choice of fleeing to the moors or following in his footsteps. Given those options, the choice was clear.

In their desire to remain in communion with nature, they decided to live a cave-dwelling, natural lifestyle, as had the original inhabitants of this territory, the ancient Native Americans from the books who lived in the area in their time. The idea of dancing with wolves and becoming little big men seemed cool and very Zen. So what better option than to settle in the place where the tribes lived in harmony, an authentic traditional Indian settlement… an old casino.

What they did not know was that this casino had been built on top of an ancient Lenape Indian burial ground, which had in turn been chosen as a home by a huge mutant abomination. A huge tentacled creature with powerful mental powers, it had sensed the mixed feelings of the deceased Indians, which still resonated like a psychic echo in the form of what we might define as spirits. Its mind had somehow merged with those of the deceased, and now that visitors had arrived, it saw clearly that it must reclaim the ancient village, aided by the ideas of this bunch of hippies.

Without being aware of it, little by little the minds of these new visitors began to merge with those of the deceased Lenape in the cemetery, the former inhabitants of the casino, and the psychic creature. In this way, a twisted amalgam has formed in the brains of each inhabitant, where although each retains a certain individualism, the whole group is connected, forming the Unami tribe, which tries to follow the ancient customs of the Lenape “in its own way”. Majauchsuwi, which means union, or being one mind, is both the name the tribe uses to refer to this place and the creature that controls it, since they are unable to distinguish between the two concepts.

This tribe has tried to remain as isolated as possible from the rest of the Moors. But while they do not leave their area or bother others, they are extremely territorial, and anyone who crosses the totems they have placed as a border is prey.

Organisation

Although individual, each member of a Unami band is connected to the psychic creature in a complex synaptic network.
Unlike the other Factions, the Unami do not have a number of shares, but rather a common reserve.

Furthermore, through his union with the psyche of Majauchsuwi, the Shaman is able to channel the latter’s psychic powers in the form of
spiritual manifestations.
