BLACK BLOOD CHILDREN

The most famous cult in the Scrapbridge area is that of the Black Blood, a congregation that maintains a well-maintained oil well in a heavily armoured settlement.

They revere oil as an almost mystical force that provides Tex’co, a kind of deity. They do not trade in any way with whatever they extract from underground, as only cult members are worthy to use their blessings. While they sometimes tried to spread their word in the settlements, in order to gain new parishioners, they did not follow an aggressive policy. This is not to say that they were not well trained in combat, for they were aware that any gang would kill to get their fuel, and they had to know how to defend themselves.

However, the attack on their settlement has changed this. They have entered a state of total paranoia, believing that the other factions want to steal their resources, and they do not hesitate to engage in combat with anyone, even carrying out ‘pre-emptive strikes’. And as if that were not enough, they are quite capable of using fuel-powered machines, which other factions cannot even dream of, to attack their enemies.

Organisation

The Black Blood Children follow a strict religious hierarchy. At the top is a High Priest, who controls everything from his refinery. Below him are the Guardians of the Flame, who inspire the Cult’s warriors with their presence and spread the word of Tex’co wherever they go.

The Embers are brothers trained in combat to fight the enemies of the Black Blood, armed with flamethrowers or chainsaws, impossible to see in other factions of the Wasteland. The Sparks are scouts, riding motorcycles they can move quickly through the Wasteland. The Ashes are the foundation of the Cult, they take care of the most basic tasks and go into combat when necessary. The Burned are a case apart, absolute fanatics who do not hesitate to give their lives for the Black Blood.
