Its other great peculiarity is how well the mutards are treated here and how swiftly any offence against them is punished in the area.<\/p>\n\n

Description<\/h2>\n\n

This department borders directly on Meadero and its main venue, the Full Belly, is a “restaurant” located on the banks of the river.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

This may seem like a department of little interest to the rest of Merkadome beyond its exotic signature dishes, but Jacob and his closest associates are always very well informed about what’s going on, and for the right price (bullets, information or favours) you can probably get to know what interests you most.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Also of note here is Mutard’s Pool, an entertainment venue exclusively for Mutards (although they do allow humans accompanied by trusted customers).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n

Another place that Masca and other trustworthy people sometimes visit is one with the unclear KFC sign, although no one knows exactly what kind of shenanigans go on there.<\/p>\n\n

Masca<\/h2>\n\n

Jacob <\/strong>is the masca of this department of Merkadome. He is known for his love of food and desire to live in peace with the mutards.\u00a0He is a middle-aged former gang member from the Scrapbridge area where it is rumoured that he did not end well with the city council.\u00a0His physical appearance is imposing but where once there were abs of steel there is now a big belly, though he is still as strong as ever.<\/p>\n\n

Other personalities<\/h2>\n\n

Argi\u00f1apo<\/strong>A guy in his 50s, cook and manager of Pescamola. Hefty, bearded, and very outgoing. One of Merkadome’s most renowned chefs. His easygoing nature allows him to meet a lot of people and make good friends, which makes him a great source of information.<\/p>\n\n

Alexander<\/strong>I’m not stupid<\/em>The enormous mass that is in charge of the security of Mutard’s Pool and in general of any place where there is a problem in the department even if they are not Masca premises.<\/p>\n\n

Ava<\/strong>I’m listening<\/em>Ava is a very skinny and tiny young woman who usually works directly for Jacob and usually accompanies him when he goes to meetings at the Council or to other neighborhoods. She seems human except for her one completely blind eye and her ability to always know where she is and what is around her makes it clear that she has some kind of mutation.<\/p>\n\n

Fang<\/strong>Meow<\/em>A kind of mutated cat that looks at you as if you’re smarter than you should be. He often hangs around Ava.<\/p>\n\n

Handsome Kenzo<\/strong>He’s a thoroughgoing hedonist and former gang member who now runs the pub known as Martinecal. Whenever he can, he takes out his comb (a Martinejo rib), uses his “poly gel” with Martinejo semen, and puts on his jeans and his once-black jacket and pink sneakers.<\/p>\n\n

Liam \u201cCrockpot\u201d Jonas<\/strong>Are you going to throw that away?<\/em>Equal parts cook and inventor. A scrap metal dealer from a local settlement, he heard about Jacob\u2019s cooking fame when he arrived at Merkadome and became his kitchen assistant. Now he\u2019s the head chef at Full Belly<\/p>\n\n

Spleen-Piercing Jones<\/strong>A huge pile of mutard fat over 2 meters tall, which serves as the gates of Martinecal, <\/em>is Kenzo\u2019s \u201cbest friend\u201d. His name comes from his time as an underground fighter and his desire to destroy his opponents\u2019 organs with his claws. He usually spends his time singing with his velvety voice (if by velvety we mean 4 cats being run over while copulating, at the same time) at the door of Martinecal.<\/p>\n\n

Wyoming<\/strong>A girl of about 11 years old, completely in love with the smell of gasoline, lives for and by motors. She is desperate to join the children of black blood, but no one knows why she hasn’t joined them yet. She is always wandering around the settlement on her motorized unicycle (or so she says, because no one knows where she gets the fuel she uses), or if it is gasoline or some strange oil.<\/p>\n\n

Main locations<\/h2>\n\n

Fritongas Homer<\/strong>A snack bar selling fried cockroach skewers and other delicacies from Tom \u201cHomer\u201d Huskins.<\/p>\n\n

Full Belly<\/strong>Food with a view of Meadero<\/em>A \u201cluxury\u201d restaurant with \u201cprivate\u201d private rooms for business, romantic dinners, or whatever the client wants. The head chef prepares exotic dishes with anything he can get his hands on, which for some strange reason are always delicious, no matter how bad some of them look.<\/p>\n\n

Martinecal<\/strong>A pub whose name comes from the fusion of martinejo and lupercal, where exotic drinks of dubious effectiveness are sold. Many say it’s a scam, while others claim it works.<\/p>\n\n

Mutards\u2019 Pool<\/strong>Let your mutations run wild<\/em>A cocktail bar with pool tables and darts machines (of course, most of the time it\u2019s unlit). Only mutards are allowed in this establishment, although humans are allowed in with trusted guests.<\/p>\n\n

Pescamola<\/strong>Food establishment run by Argi\u00f1apo.<\/p>\n\n

R&R Jonas (Jonas Recovery and Repairs)<\/strong>A technology recovery business and repair of any device that needs a fix. Liam Jonas is the owner and doesn’t turn down any job, especially if it proves he’s smarter than the competition. Because of the constant accidents and overtime, he’s always looking for interns.<\/p>\n\n
